Hurtwood is delighted to announce that 'The Witches of Eastwick' has received numerous nominations, including Best Musical and Best Ensemble, from the prestigious National School Theatre Awards®. The talent scouts from the National School Theatre Awards were completely blown away by our students at the weekend. This production  really is a taste of the West End in the Surrey Hills. 'The Witches of Eastwick', is the school’s 37th musical and we are thrilled that Hurtwood has also been invited to the awards ceremony in London in June — an evening of glitz and glamour where students can walk the red carpet and celebrate alongside some of the brightest young stars in theatre. 

The stars of previous Hurtwood musicals have subsequently been cast in leading roles in 'Les Misérables', 'Grease', 'Book of Mormon' and 'Prince of Egypt' to name a few. Even the lead of Disney's latest  West End extravaganza ' Hercules' opening in 2025 is a Hurtwood lad. A decade later many still remember Luke Brady wowing audiences as 'Galileo' in 'We Will Rock You' in our theatre and it is anyone's guess who will be the next star to emerge from this latest Hurtwood production.
